The Alphart winery in Traiskirchen in the thermal region stands for the highest wine quality and is a member of the "Traditionsweingüter Österreich". The family business can look back on more than 250 years of tradition. About 30 hectares of shell limestone soil owned by the winery are planted with vines that are tended with the utmost care. The cornerstones for individualistic wines are a respectful treatment of nature, the individualistic care of each vine, consistent yield reduction, meticulous selective hand harvesting at the perfect time of harvest and the gentlest processing. Only in this way is it possible to find the fine elegance and clear fruit of the grapes in the wines.
The Alpharts pay particular attention to the Rotgipfler and the Chardonnay, each of which is aged in several different ways. These two varieties ripen into very special growths in the Burgundian sites of Rodauner, Teigelsteiner, Satzing and Goldlacke. The old Austrian variety Neuburger is also an important fixture in Alphart's assortment with the single vineyard Hausberg. The elegant red wines should also not be ignored.
Here, the focus is on juicy cuvées of Zweigelt and Pinot Noir as well as on the powerful pairing of fleshy Merlot and ripe Cabernet Sauvignon in the "Alpha" cuvée. The single-varietal Pinot Noir is a very special passion of the winemaking family and delights as a classic fruity variant as well as a reserve with an elegant structure and delicate red berryish character.
Six times a year, the Alpharts "ausg'steckt". The Heuriger serves as a platform for communication and for the presentation of their own wines. Here, tradition is continued, wine culture is cultivated in a pleasant atmosphere and value is placed on the quality of the basic regional produce in the kitchen.
Heuriger classics such as spreads and salads are offered, as well as modernised family recipes of classic home cooking.
