"Warm Dishes" Wine Bars in Zurich
The Mövenpick wine bar comes up with a lot for its wine-loving guests. Every Friday a first-class "Big Bottle" is uncorked, on Saturday there is a "Soirée de Champagne", plus a selection of over 500 wines from the old and new world.
Only the best wines make it onto the wine list carefully compiled by Smith & Smith. This is accompanied by the finest cuts of meat from Luma and other excellent dishes. The industrial charm that the former factory building has retained is also a delight.
The Più Vino Bar offers the right wine for every taste, from fine wines such as Sassicaia or Lodovico, which are also served by the glass, to refreshing German Riesling, Prosecco and even non-alcoholic sparkling wine. There are also appetisers from Italy.
The Greek word for "cheers" is yamas. To toast each other, the Mediterranean bistro and wine bar offers a remarkable selection of Greek wines and authentic Greek delicacies in a mezze style.
At D-Vino, all wines, whether red, white, rosé or sparkling, are served in the same glass. In addition to a remarkable range of bottled wines, there are around 30 wines by the glass, accompanied by freshly cooked dishes and hearty tapas.
The D-Vino in Seefeld follows the same philosophy as the branch on Bahnhofstrasse. Here, people meet to enjoy wine in an uncomplicated and cultivated way, every bottle is uncorked from four decilitres, and the range of wines by the glass is also extensive.
Driven by tireless curiosity, the Südhang crew remains on the lookout for small, up-and-coming and unconventional wineries away from the hype. In addition to expert advice, the wine shop also has a wine bar with tasting facilities.
The Vineria Centrale is the perfect place to end the day in southern Italy. Host Dario Bischofberger demonstrates his skill in selecting wines, accompanied by exquisite antipasti, cheerful music and plenty of Italian joie de vivre.
Dieter Meier implements his visions to perfection. This is also evident in his Argentinian gem in the heart of Zurich. All the cuts come from cattle from Meier's Ojo de Agua farm in Argentina. They are accompanied by award-winning wines made from grapes from Mendoza and Patagonia.
